NYM needs your help.
For those of you who have not yet attended one of our events, New YorkMadness is a hothouse for ideas where playwrights, directors, and actors create world-premiere theater pieces based on a selected theme.
Because everything is generated within one week the collective works in an evening provide a cultural a snapshot of who we are as a people and a nation – the performances are raw, with scripts in hand, and the night is always unpredictable.
~We pride ourselves on the fact that,“Anything can happen in a Madness.”
NYMadness provides me with a way to be engaged and give back to my community by creating a forum for other artists to have a voice in conversation with my own.
Works that originated in Madness have already gone on to other venues such asEnsemble Studios Theatre, Rattlestick Theatre, and SparkHamptons in the Hamptons where they are steering the cultural dialogue in this city and beyond.
I am committed to the future of American Theater and the intellectual curiosity of this nation – that is why I seek your support for NYMadness.
